XBOOM is a new creative music project, reflecting jazz improvisation of trumpet, guitar, violin and percussion with an added effect of a live mix of experimental electronica.
This living project is a multi-year progression for this trio, being led by Charles Xavier, and featuring Clifford Brown III and Matt Montgomery.
Each song features a specific set of cues of vibraphone, drums and synthesizers. Unlike DJs, who trigger beats, this project triggers from 8 pipelines of cues, some atmospheric, some ambient, and some are part audio effects, uniquely using both vintage and modern synthesizers. Each player extends the possibilities of electronica with jazz personality instilled by percussion, trumpet, guitar and violin.
